Using the PEERS® for Young Adults Social Skills curriculum, we facilitate small groups that focus on building relationships.

PEERS® for Young Adults is a 16-week evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated young adults between 20-38 years of age who are interested in learning skills to make and keep friends and develop romantic relationships. This internationally acclaimed program was originally developed at UCLA by PEERS®  Clinic Founding Director, Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson. During each group session, young adults are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills. PEERS® may be appropriate for young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression or other social and behavioral disorders.

Young adults must be socially motivated and attend each session with a social coach (relative or non-relative). The participant and social coach will work together to generalize the skills learned each week. PEERS® was featured on the Netflix show, Love on the Spectrum.

Young Adults will learn about:

• Conversational Skills

• Appropriate Use of Humor

• Electronic Communication

• Handling Direct and Indirect Bullying

• Handling Arguments & Disagreements

• Organizing Get-Togethers with Friends

• Dating Skills

• Strategies for Handling Sexual Pressure

We offer a hybrid/in-person dating “bootcamp” groups in the Greater Denver area. This intensive boot camp is held on two Saturdays one month from 9:00am to 5:00pm with a break for lunch. The 2-day boot camp covers all topics from the traditional 16-week course plus a significant amount of current, relevant dating-specific information. Participants will need to attend both sessions in full and be able to access a lot of information in a short amount of time. This group is limited to four participants to ensure maximum engagement. We alos offer participants three one-on-one 30 minute sessions to review concepts/information after the bootcamp concludes (to be used within 12 months of the conclusion of the bootcamp)

Due to the advanced pacing of the bootcamp, individuals should be at least 21 years old with a more independent lifestyle to be able to apply life experiences and process a large amount of information in a short amount of time.

Our next bootcamp will begin mid-April 2024.

We also offer 1:1 and smaller PEERS® group formats.

Payment is through private pay only. Scholarships are available.
